BERLIN — Viet Nam and China were chosen as the focus of an international women’s festival titled ‘Women’s Prospects,’ which opened in Germany last week and will run through March 20.
The workshops centre around women’s advancement and roles in the two countries and a number of art exhibitions.
Veronika Radulovic, who has taught art in Viet Nam for several years, is co-sponsoring an art exhibition displaying photos, video tapes and articles on Vietnamese art and culture.
Photographer Christine Pictet is holding a photo exhibition called Vietnamese Women Now and Then. She will be a chief speaker at a workshop on the Vietnamese women’s role in economic development.
Phan Thi Minh Khai, an expatriate, presented a film called My Viet Nam – Fatherland and No War.
A group of Vietnamese French artists are also attending the event. — VNS
