Size matters: Kids help paint the gigantic "Guinness Wall." — VNS Photo Thanh Hai |
HCM CITY — An 820sq.m painting, made by over 1,300 Vietnamese children aged from seven to 14, is in line to enter the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s largest painting.
The artwork, entitled We Paint the World of Children, was completed by the children in five hours on May 29.
Using their hands rather than paintbrushes, the young artists used the opportunity to express their ideas about nature, peace, and the universe.
The organising board, Dutch Lady Viet Nam, will register the painting for a Guinness world record, aiming to break the current record of 815sq.m, set in India in January 2005. — VNS
