The first national exhibition ’60 years Vietnam’s Propaganda Paintings 1945-2005’ is being held by the Department of Grassroots Culture and Information, in co-ordination with some museums.
This is an activity to mark the 60th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Independence Day, September 2.
Propaganda paintings are a kind of art which plays a pioneer role in encouraging people to fulfill their tasks. These paintings are always linked with the national liberation cause, construction and defence.
The Vietnam’s Revolutionary Museum is keeping a valuable propaganda painting collection with thousands of paintings of different types.
