The Vietnam Fine Arts Association (VFAA) organised a prize presentation ceremony 2002 to its members in Hanoi on October 1.
The awards include prizes of the VFAA, the regional fine arts associations and the Fine Arts Criticism Sector.
There was no first prize of the VFAA. The second prize was awarded to painter Tran Khanh Chuong of Hanoi with his work named 'A Set of Books on Vietnamese Ceramics'; Quach Manh Hung from Yen Bai province with wood sculpture 'Mother's Love'; and Lo An Quang from Son La province with his oil painting 'October's Days'. Third prize belonged to Le Quang Ha of Hanoi with his oil painting 'Terrorism'; Le Cong Thanh of Hanoi with his rock sculpture; and Luu The Han from Bac Giang province with his oil painting 'Soldier's Mother'.
The VFAA also announced prizes of the fine arts associations of Hanoi, Red river delta, north-west and northernmost Vietnam, northern centre, southern centre and Central Highlands region, Ho Chi Minh City, south-east Vietnam and Mekong river delta.
Prizes of the fine arts critics sector were presented to Tran Duy, Nguyen Dan Quoc, Trinh Quang Vu and Dang Tran Son of Hanoi.
