HA NOI - Viet Nam and Singapore have pledged to further boost co-operation in culture and communication following recent talks between Minister of Culture and Information, Pham Quang Nghi, and his Singaporean counterpart.
Nghi and Singapore's Minister of Culture, Communication and Arts, David Lim, worked out measures to tighten bonds in a number of fields under the framework of a bilateral agreement signed in 1998.
The two ministers agreed to increase co-operation in film-making, exchange experience in mass media, Internet and arts management and organise more exhibitions and visits by art troupes.
They acknowledged that a better understanding of each other's culture would benefit both people, particularly investors seeking business opportunities.
Nghi and his entourage ended their two-day Singapore visit last week. - VNS
