HA NOI — Tran Ngoc Hai is known within art circles for his skill with the paintbrush as well as the scalpel. The painter and doctor is currently exhibiting his work in his first solo show in the capital city. He has gathered inspiration from his travels and mostly paints landscapes such as coal mines, Ha Long Bay, the mountainous areas of Tay Bac, and ancient Hue. Hai even has some of his works preserved in the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum, as well as private collections and galleries.
The exhibition is co-organised by the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association and the Viet Nam-Sweden Cultural Fund and is on display through December 1 at the fine arts exhibition house, 16 Ngo Quyen Street.
