An art exhibition entitled "Young Glint" (Anh mat tre) opened in Hanoi on Friday to display art and sculpture by 16 young Vietnamese artists.
The 13-day exhibition, which was included art-works selected from the contest "Young glint -2003", was jointly organised by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, the French Embassy in Hanoi, the Hanoi-based Alliance Francaise Centre, and the French Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. The contest has been annually organised since 2001 and is open to Vietnamese sculpultas throughout the country aged 35 or less.
First prize went to sculptor Tran Duc Quy, who wins a three-month course in prestigious Fine Arts University in Paris.
