HCM CITY — Photos by Vietnamese students went on show at an exhibition sponsored by the Vietnamese Graduates from Australia Club, the Australian Education International Viet Nam, and the Viet Nam – Australia Friendship Association in HCM City on Monday.
Hundreds of Vietnamese students gathered at HCM City Youth Cultural House to view the exhibition and applaud the winners of the photo competition The Kangaroo Country Seen Through the Eyes of Vietnamese Students.
"Vietnamese students have been a valuable asset in the diplomatic relations between our two countries during the last 30 years and will remain so well into the future," said the Australian Embassy’s education, science and training counsellor Richard Martin in Ha Noi.
Part of a series of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Viet Nam-Australia diplomatic relations, the contest allowed students to get a broader view of Australia, with a number of Australian Youth Ambassadors attending the award presentation.
At the moment more than 2,800 Vietnamese students study in Australia and at least 12,000 Vietnamese students have graduated from Australian institutions. — VNS
