An exhibition of children's paintings exhibition entitled "My home -Vietnam-Australia" opened in Hanoi on Tuesday.
On show are paintings by 20 students from Vietnam's Nguyen Tat Thanh School and 20 students from Australia's schools.
According to Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Joe Thwaites, the exhibition aims to help the two countries' students discover their similarities and have a good base for understanding diversity and abolishing racial discrimination.
The exhibition was part of a larger project entitled "My home, Asia - Australia", which was implemented by Australia's Melbourne University with the aim of eliminating racial discrimination and chronic prejudices. It also focussed on educational exchanges, culture and arts between Australian students and those of six Asian countries-China, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Japan, India and Vietnam.
