The Danish Fund for Development, Co-operation and Cultural Exchange with Vietnam has funded 142 cultural projects in the country over the past three years.
These projects covered fields including exhibitions, libraries, training, preserving folk culture and publishing in 61 provinces and cities.
The fund focuses on helping mountainous and rural areas protect their cultural heritages, and creates favourable conditions for writers, particularly those of ethnic minority groups to publish their work.
The fund recently provided VND 90 million for Lac Duong district in the central highland province of Lam Dong, including VND 70 million to build a cultural house for Da Long commune and VND 20 million for Lat commune's gong dance and song band. (VNA)
