A week of ASEAN cultures will be held in Phnom Penh from October 24 to welcome the ASEAN Summit to be organised here in early November.
During the week, an art performance programme and exhibitions will be held to boost friendship among members of ASEAN - the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
ASEAN comprises of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
According to the Under-secretary of State of Cambodia's Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Chuch Phoeung, 200 Cambodian artists and around 130 others from other ASEAN member countries will jointly perform the Ramayana epic in Siemreap province, Sihanouk Ville and Phnom Penh. (VNA)
