Vietnam Art Books -- Photos, paintings about war on display

Photos, paintings about war on display

A photo exhibition entitled 'Remaining Pain' and another children's painting exhibition, 'We Draw about War and Peace' were opened on July 25 at Van Ho Centre for Culture and Art Exhibition, Hanoi.

Nearly 150 photos on display depict the serious consequences left by the US imperialists in Vietnam and the inhumanity of the war of aggression. In the painting exhibition of children in Ho Chi Minh City, viewers can easily recognise the losses caused by the war and the children's dream about a peaceful and friendly world.

These exhibitions were held by the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Centre for Vietnamese Culture and Art Exhibition and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of War Evidence.

On the occasion, the 'Golden Heart' Fund of Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper, the Fund for Agent Orange Victims and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of War Evidence presented 27 packages of gifts to wounded and sick soldiers and Agent Orange victims.
