The Hai Au Women Photographers Club set off on their second nationwide photography tour, beginning in HO Chi Minh City last week.

The six women, Dao Hoa Nu, Nguyen Thi Sin, Nguyen Hong Nga, Thanh Son, Kim Thanh and Kim Lan hit the road by motorbike, crossing through 11 cities and provinces before arriving Hanoi on March 10.

Their expedition will culminate in an exhibition called ‘Tro Lai Thu Do’ (Back to the Capital) with more than 60 photos of traditional Vietnamese life before moving on to the Vietnam Photographic Artists Festival.

The exhibit will then be presented again in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Hai Au Club was established in 1990 with 14 members, four of which were honoured by the EFIAP (Excellent Artist of the International Photographic Art Federation) and four others by the AFIAP (Artist of the International Photographic Art Federation).

After 14 years of snapping pictures, the club has earned more than 100 local and international awards and has displayed their work in Canada, France, Australia, Italy and Japan.

The first tour was in November 1995.
