‘Capture the Moment’ exhibition opens (August 15, 2005)

A photo exhibition entitled ‘Capture the Moment’ opened on August 14 at the exhibition hall in Hang Bai street, Hanoi.

This is an activity to mark the 60th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, the eighth congress of Vietnam Journalists’ Association and 76th anniversary of Lao Dong newspaper’s first publication.

Over 50 large-size photos of some photographers, cameramen who had lost their lives on the battlefields. These include historical photos of martyr Nguyen Van Gia with some battlefield journalists such as Bui Dinh Tuy, Ho Ca, Luong Nghia Dung, Vo Van Quy, etc. In addition, some photos of foreign correspondents, including Fred Whitehurst, who had maintained the diary of Dang Thuy Tram with a camera and the last two rolls of film. Some battlefield artifacts are also on display.

The exhibition will close on August 23.
