Exhibition displays northern mountain area's patriotism

An art exhibition on the northwest and northernmost Vietnam is being held in Yen Bai city, Yen Bai northern mountainous province from August 11 to 21 to mark the 57th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).

On display are 182 art works in various categories, including paintings, statues and bas-relieves of 165 artists, mostly in 13 provinces of the region.

Art works praise the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and express the love for the homeland and the country.

The statue 'Mother's Love' of Quach Manh Hung was awarded A prize. The B and C prizes were presented to two oil paintings named 'October's Days' and 'Mother of Soldier' of Lo An Quang and Luu The Han.

The exhibition was jointly held by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the Department of Culture and Information and the Association of the Literature and Arts of Yen Bai province.
