Ten prizes at APO photo contest

Vietnam won ten out of 24 prizes of the international photo contest 2002 with the theme 'Increasing Productivity and Environmental Harmony' held by the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO).

The results were announced on October 18 in Tokyo, Japan. Under this, the only gold of the contest belonged to Lai Dien Dam of Hanoi with his photo 'Going to the Field.' Le Hoai Phuong of Binh Thuan was awarded a silver out of three silver medals for her photo 'Spreading Fishing Net'. Three out of five bronzes belonged to Nguyen Luong Hieu with 'Classroom of Cham Ethnic People'; Tran Cao Bao Long with 'Happiness' and Vu Anh Tuan with 'Joining Efforts'.

Five out of ten 'Best Photo' prizes were presented to Dao Hoa Nu, Ta Quang Bao, Ha Huu Duc, Huynh Thanh Binh and Vu Anh Hieu.

The contest attracted an entry of 2,500 photos of artists from 18 Asian countries.
