Vietnam wins twelve awards at Japan’s photo contest


Vietnamese photographers have won 12 out of 23 awards at the ‘Global Environment’ photo contest in Japan.

This is the 11th time the photo contest has been held by the Earth Vision Committee of Japan.

As many as 405 photos taken by photographers from nine Asian countries participated in the contest.

Of the total 23 awards, there are one grand, two excellent and 20 special prizes.

Vietnamese photographers won the grand prize, one excellent and 10 special prizes.

Photographer Nguyen The Lam was the owner of the JPY 300,000 grand prize and Le Van Hai won the JPY 100,000 excellent prize.

Other special prize winners are Nguyen Minh Hoang, Hoang Trong Dung, Tran Viet Van, Ta Tu Phat, Nguyen Van Thoi, Vo Ngoc Lam, Tran Van Tuy, Truong Nhat Vy, Truong Huu Hung and My Dung.

Besides, 17 other photos taken by Vietnamese photographers have also been chosen to be displayed at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on January 24 in Tokyo.
