Month of Vietnam-France documentary films

A month of documentary films entitled 'History and Stories,' jointly organised by the French Embassy, the Alliance Francaise and the Vietnam Movie Association is currently taking place in Hanoi.

Films to be shown include 'Nhung Co Gai Ngu Thuy' (Ngu Thuy Girls) by Lo Van Minh, 'Tro Lai Ngu Thuy' (Back to Ngu Thuy) and 'Tren Chiec Xe Lan' (On the Wheelchair) by Le Manh Thich, 'Relics of War-images' by Pierre Francois Didier, the Cannes 2001 and Oscar winner for foreign film 'Land without Man' by Danis Tanovic, and Oscar 2002 award winner 'Ideal Criminal' by Jean-Xavier de l'Estrade.

The event, is taking place from November 6-21, is accompanied by an exhibition of Roman Karmen's photos, meetings and debates among Vietnamese, French, African cultural activists. (VNA)
