Canadian schools host their first education fair in Ha Noi

HA NOI The Canadian embassy and the Canadian Education Centre (CEC) were scheduled to host their first education fair in Ha Noi on November 12, at the Melia Hotel.

Twenty-three Canadian schools and institutions were expected to be touting their wares at the fair that run from 2 until 8pm.

The Canadian ambassador-designate Richard Lecoq says the fair will be attended by "colleges, universities and specialised institutions. . . represent some of the very best that Canada has to offer", adding that "students will take advantage of their presence in Ha Noi."

"The standards for education in Canada are among the highest in the world, and we offer an incredible variety of choice," says Mr.Lecoq. "I am confident that no matter what the area of study, students will find a course to suit their needs. With more than 30,000 international students in Canadian undergraduate programmes, they will be in good company".

Over the last decade, Canada has repeatedly been labelled by the UN as one of the best places to live in the world, thanks to its availability of high quality, low cost education, its impressive health care system, its approach to fundamental rights and its clean, safe and multicultural cities.

Canada also stands out for the level of access its students have to the internet.

The Canadian Consulate and the CEC were supposed to host a similar fair in HCM City on November 14 at the Hotel Equatorial. VNS
