Ha Noi — Co-operative cultural agreements between Viet Nam and several European countries have been forged during a ten day working visit by the Minister of Culture and Information, Pham Quang Nghi.
The Minister developed agreements covering the media, cinema, art, music, museums, education and sport during his visit to Sweden, Denmark and Luxembourg, which wrapped up on Thursday.
In Stockholm, Nghi, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee, met with his counterpart, Marita Ulvskog, and representatives of the Swedish International Development Co-operation group. The officials lauded the implementation of Swedish-funded projects in Viet Nam and discussed the organisation of Viet Nam’s Cultural Days in Sweden this September.
During his stop over in Copenhagen, the minister met with leaders of Denmark’s Culture Development Centre to discuss preparations for the Asian Culture Festival that will take place this August.
And more co-operative agreements were developed during his meeting with Luxembourg’s Minister of Culture, Higher Education and Research, Hennicot Schoepges. — VNS
