3,500 year old antiques unearthed in Binh Duong, Viet Nam (June 17, 2003)

Archaeologists have discovered around 700 antique objects dated between 2,700 and 3,500 years in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The findings included 11 tombs, 2m long and 0.8m wide each, which contained a number of stone tools such as quadrilateral axes and musical instruments. A large number of earthenware in different designs have also been unearthed in those tombs.

Bui Chi Hoang, an expert in the pre-historic culture of South-eastern Vietnam, said the findings of fishing nets and fires used by pre-historic fishermen have shown a link with pre-historic people in other archaeological sites in South-eastern Vietnam such as Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, and Long An provinces.
