Ancient urns unearthed in Sa Huynh (June 28, 2003)


Archeologists have discovered more than 30 ancient urns and other artifacts from the Sa Huynh Culture. The artifacts, which were excavated in Sa Huynh, Duc Pho commune of central Quang Ngai province, are believed to date back 2,500-3,000 years.

Since the site was first excavated by French archeologists nearly 100 years ago, a trove of ancient artifacts of great value have been unearthed.
