British Council joins art and culture development bandwagon
The British Council, in partnership with the NGO Training Centre Ladecen, will organise an Arts & Culture for Development creative training programme for both artists and development practitioners in Vietnam.

The first phase of the training programme will be launched in Hanoi from August 18-23, than again in HCM City from August 25-30.

The programme will help enable artists and development organisations to work together to meet the development goals in the country through development of the arts.

Participants in the programme include artists from a variety of disciplines, including dance, theatre, film, photography and fine arts, and practitioners from development organisations involved in social development, health, and urban and rural development such as Oxfam UK, World Population Foundation and Action Aid.

The programme's second phase will take place in December.
