Art photo show on Phong Nha - Ke Bang world heritage site (February 13, 2004)


Art photos on the World Natural Heritage Phong Nha Ke Bang and on other cultural heritage sites of central Vietnam are on show from February 11 in Dong Hoi town, Quang Binh central province.

More than 70 photos feature Phong Nha Ke Bang with beautiful caves, limestone complex and various flora and fauna systems, Hue ancient capital city with magnificent temples, citadel and rampart and UNESCO-recognised world intangible and oral heritage of humanity nha nhac (Royal court music), Also depicted are Hoi An old quarters with old houses of Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese combined style and My Son site with ancient towers.

This is a meeting among photographers of Quang Binh province, Hue and Da Nang cities to honour natural values and old-age cultural beauties of the centre.

The organisation of the exhibition is to respond to the upcoming reception of certificate to recognise Phong Nha - Ke Bang as a world natural heritage site by the UNESCO.
