Tay Nguyen hosts folk arts festival (May 19, 2004)
 A Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) folk song and dance festival kicked off on Wednesday in Buon Ma Thuot City, with 150 participating artists. Five folk art troupes from five regional provinces will perform 60 acts including love songs, an epic poem recital dances and gong performance-representing different minority groups.
Tay Nguyen Festival-cum-Fair 2005 opens (March 13, 2005)
 Dac Lac, Mar. 10 (VNA) - The Tay Nguyen Festival-cum-Fair 2005, the largest of its kind in the region, opened in the Central Highlands province of Dac Lac on Mar. 9.

 Ha Noi, Jan. (VNA) - Born in the Bronze Age, the gong's first appearance in Viet Nam dates back 2,000-3,500 years to the Dong Son culture as engravings on drums.
Symbols of Tet, the traditional Vietnamese New Year (January 23, 2004)
 The Lunar New Year (Tet Nguyen Dan) starts on the first day of the first lunar month and is the first season of a year, Spring. The New Year is a fete of the family, and the time for family members to gather at home to enjoy warm atmosphere. This custom has become sacred and secular and, therefore, no matter where they are or whatever the circumstances, family members find ways to come back to meet their loved ones.

Stone Age instrument rocks out of earth (June 25, 2004)
 A farmer discovered a Stone Age musical instrument called the dan da (lithophone) in the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) province of Lam Dong.

 The houses on stilts of different ethnic groups in Vietnam’s mountainous and mid-land regions have stood the test of time and have retained their original architecture over the centuries. Its unique structure reflects the people’s close bond between themselves and nature.
Statue of Mother Au Co cast (October 12, 2004)
 Artisans began casting a statue depicting Au Co, the wife of Lac Long Quan, who according to legend is the first King and founder of Vietnam, at the Hung King Temple in Lam Thao district, northern Phu Tho province last Saturday.
Spring- season of festivities in Vietnam (March 09, 2005)
 A village festival is often held at the communal house, which is dedicated to the village genie. The village genie could be the village founder, those who rendered great services to the nation or a legendary figure.
Spring festivals in the Central Highlands (January 28, 2004)
 Villages from Da Oai, Di Linh to Dak Lap and Dak Nong are resounding with sounds of gongs and drumbeats. According to the custom of the Central Highlanders, the villages that harvest their crops early will enjoy Tet early and vice versa. Tet festival in the Central Highlands does not take place at any specific time. All the families there enjoy Tet throughout the season.
